Life After Loss Grief Café: Discover How Food Can Help You Heal Through Grief
Join me at the next Life After Loss Grief Café in Tickhill (near Doncaster) for an interactive talk on grief and the often-overlooked mind-body connection. This gathering is a chance to connect with fellow grievers and learn how to support your body through the emotional and physical challenges of loss.
Grief can be overwhelming and affect every part of our being. Many of the symptoms that come with it - digestive issues, fatigue, brain fog, and anxiety - are linked to the gut and the body’s stress response. Understanding this connection is key to helping yourself heal.
Having experienced the loss of my own husband, I understand the profound impact grief has on our bodies. But while grief is inevitable, suffering doesn’t have to define us. We can take small, meaningful steps to regain a sense of control and nurture ourselves, even in the midst of deep sorrow.
In this talk, I’ll share insights into how grief triggers a powerful stress response and how adjusting what and how we eat can help ease that burden. I’ll offer simple, sustainable tips for bringing balance back to your life, even when everything feels chaotic.
In this interactive session, you’ll learn:
✔ What might be causing your grief symptoms
✔ Why you might be craving certain foods
✔ How your meals can influence your mood, energy, and focus
✔ Tips for establishing a new, nourishing daily routine
✔ Strategies for coping with emotional eating
Drawing on both my personal experience and my work as a nutritionist and yoga therapist, I’ll share meal ideas, natural remedies, and practices that have helped me regain my energy and joy in life.
Come along to explore how food can become a powerful tool in your healing journey. I look forward to seeing you there!
