Cooking Through Grief: The True Magic of a Simple Dish

Grief can make it hard to focus on nourishing yourself, but cooking true comfort food doesn't have to be complicated. Join me online on 26 June at 5pm for a 1-hour cooking session where I'll share how to make my 'magic' Lentil & Veg Bowl – a simple, nourishing dish that can also become your reliable go-to meal when cooking feels hard or even impossible.
This hearty, comforting meal is rich in protein and designed to support your energy, mood, and emotional balance during times of grief. It is also gentle on digestion which can be particularly helpful when stress affects your gut.
Best of all, you can make it in advance, on auto-pilot (once you know the basic recipe), and it adapts to whatever ingredients you have on hand.
What to expect from this session:
✔️ Cook along with me in your own kitchen – I'll guide you step-by-step to make this nourishing dish in under 30 minutes (chopping time: less than 5 minutes!)
✔️ Learn why these ingredients support your grieving body – explained in simple, accessible language
✔️ Simple swaps to make the recipe your own – how to adapt it based on what you like or have available
✔️ Slow-cooker tips – how to adapt this recipe for even quicker, hands-off cooking
✔️ Open discussion – share any cooking/eating challenges you're facing
You can either cook along with me or simply watch and join in the conversation – whatever suits you best. Whether you’re new to cooking or just looking for easy, comforting meals to keep you going, this session is designed to support you. 💛
What you'll need: Basic kitchen equipment (saucepan, knife, chopping board) and simple, affordable ingredients (around £3-5). Full ingredient list will be sent upon registration.
