Culinary Grief Workshop: Comfort, Cravings & Connection Through Food

Saturday 17 May 2025
10:00am - 12:30pm (GMT)

Grief can make cooking feel like just another task.

Some days, even deciding what to eat feels exhausting. Other times, cravings take over – pulling you toward food that doesn’t truly nourish you but offers a momentary escape. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.

I know this struggle personally. Cooking used to feel overwhelming until I learned to approach food as a small act of self-care rather than another chore to get through. Now, I want to share that experience with you.

Join my special online cooking workshop on Friday, 17th May, to explore how food can support your body and mind in grief.

What We’ll Do Together

In this 2.5-hour interactive session, we’ll prepare two simple, nourishing dishes designed to bring true comfort while also exploring the deeper emotional connections we have with food.

🔷 Cook Along (or simply watch and listen!) as we prepare:

  • Red Lentil & Veg Soup – a simple, delicious and adaptable meal for tough days
  • Chocolate Avocado Truffles – a comforting treat without the sugar crashes

🔷 Understand Cravings – What are they really telling you? Learn how grief influences them and how to regain control.

🔷 Gentle Self-Care Tools – Discover the power of:

  • Essential oils to provide support with emotional eating, overwhelm, and other grief-related aspects such as trauma, insomnia, or anger
  • Marma therapy self-treatments to help reduce cravings, and reconnect body and mind

This is more than a cooking class – it’s a safe, supportive space to nourish yourself in multiple ways.
