Finding Nourishment & Small Sparks of Joy in the Kitchen
There's a way to cook that doesn't require motivation, perfect planning, or elaborate recipes. A way that works even when you're running on empty.
Some days, even deciding what to eat feels exhausting. Other times, cravings take over – pulling you toward food that doesn’t truly nourish you but offers a momentary escape. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
I know this struggle personally. Cooking for myself used to feel hard – and sometimes still does. But over time, I’ve learned that food doesn’t have to be another task to get through. It can become a gentle form of self-care, offering comfort and stability on even the heaviest days. That’s what I want to share with you – in small, achievable steps.
Because food isn’t just about taste. It also provides the energy your body needs to carry on after loss — without unsettling your mood or sending you on an emotional rollercoaster.
So join my special online cooking workshop on Friday, 26th September, and let’s explore how food can become a supportive ally in your grief journey.
What We’ll Do Together
In this 2.5-hour interactive session, we’ll prepare two simple, nourishing dishes designed to bring true comfort — and a little joy back into your kitchen.
🔷 Cook Along (or simply watch and listen!) as we prepare:
-
Red Lentil & Veg Soup – not glamorous, but hearty, nourishing, and easy to make on tough days. You’ll also learn how to take shortcuts on days when energy or motivation is very low, and how to swap out ingredients so you can turn this recipe into your own personal survival dish whenever you need it.
-
Chocolate Avocado Truffles – a comforting treat without the sugar crashes.
🔷 Learn how cravings work – What are they really telling you? We’ll look at how grief influences cravings and how these simple dishes can help curb them, so you can start applying my magic formula easily to other meals.
🔷 Tune into your energy levels – I’ll share how to listen to your body so you can plan meals that fit where you are on any given day.
🔷 Gentle Self-Care Tools – Discover the power of:
-
Essential oils for emotional eating, stress, and overwhelm
-
Marma therapy to reconnect body and mind, improve sleep, and reduce cravings
This is more than a cooking class – it’s a safe, supportive space to nurture yourself in many different ways.

You Don’t Have to Go It Alone
Grief can feel isolating, but healing happens in connection. Whether you cook along or simply watch and listen, this workshop offers a moment to pause, nurture yourself, and feel supported.
If you know someone who could benefit too, why not invite them to join you? Cooking together can make all the difference. 💛

Just a heads-up: All times mentioned are British Summer Time (BST) — if you’re outside the UK, do check your local time so you don’t miss out.
