Welcome to my blog!

Here I am sharing everything I have learned about navigating grief as a bereaved partner by delving deep into modern research and the ancient healing wisdom of Ayurveda. By reading my articles, I hope you will find the answer to your questions about grief and how it impacts our health in many different ways.

My hope is that by sharing my personal experience and learnings, you will feel less exhausted, overwhelmed and confused and gain all the understanding you need to start making simple yet important changes to your daily habits that will help you regain control of your health, and therefore, reclaim your life.

As we step into a new year, the buzz around health and positive habits is everywhere. However, making lasting changes is often easier said than done - especially when navigating the complex journey of grief. I understand. I've walked that path, both personally and as a guide for many on this journey.

Shake Off The Blues

If the holidays and the initial weeks of January have left you feeling a bit off-kilter, know that you’re not alone. Instead of dwelling on it, let’s step into February with intention and positivity.

Just like you, I allowed some of my daily habits to slip during the holidays; Now I am back home and fully in control again, I'm eager to return to them and even incorporate some new ones (because there’s always room for improvement, right!?).

Your Unique Strengths

The key to (re)integrating helpful habits is to build from the ground up, starting with what feels most familiar. For me, that means rebuilding from the firm foundation of my regular daily meal routine - the part of my day that feels like coming home.

We all have unique strengths, those little gems that make certain habits easier to embrace. Whether it's your love for early mornings, the joy found in a good workout, or the adventure in cooking …. let's build upon those strengths.

Build Yourself Up

It’s all about restoring the foundation on which to stack other helpful habits – one by one. Just like a house needs a solid foundation, or it would collapse.

Remember, the only real failure is not trying or giving up on yourself!

A Fresh Outlook on Love

The first email will arrive just before Valentine’s Day, a day that often intensifies our feelings of loss. I intentionally chose this moment to remind you that the meaning of love extends beyond receiving it from others; we can also give love to ourselves, easily forgotten in grief.

You deserve love and respect!

Embracing Change: Are you ready?

Life is a constant series of changes, and transformation often begins with the willingness to embrace it. While change can be scary, it’s also an opportunity to evolve from a state of fear and pain into a peaceful and more meaningful existence.

Reflect on your readiness for change, remembering the wisdom of the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates:

The secret to change is to focus all of your energy not on fighting the old, but on building the new.

Reflection: On a scale of 1-10, how ready do you feel for small positive changes in your daily life right now?

Action Steps:

  • Take a moment to acknowledge one area where you feel ready for positive change - it could be as simple as drinking more water or a mindset shift.
  • Consider putting your observations in a journal dedicated to this transformative journey you’re embarking on when you subscribe to my free email series.

If you need a little nudge, why not take the Wheel of Life Quiz here? Take a few minutes to confidentially answer key questions about your health, ‘me’-time, work, social life, and more. Your responses reveal a wheel highlighting any areas that could benefit from your renewed focus to restore harmony in your life.

Remember, the journey to positive habit change begins with one small step. Let’s take that step together!

To hope, healing and love!
